This Privacy Policy describes how SocialGrid Studio (the “App”) handles information when you use it. SocialGrid Studio is developed and operated by the developer named below.
1. Information We Collect
SocialGrid Studio does all photo and video editing on your device. We do not operate our own servers, we do not ask you to create an account or sign in, and we never collect your name, email address, or the content of your photos and videos.
To keep the app stable and to measure how our own advertising performs, the app includes two third-party SDKs that collect a limited amount of technical and diagnostic data. These are described in Section 5. This data is not used to build a personal profile of you, and the app does not access your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) or track you across other companies’ apps or websites without your permission.
2. Information Accessed Locally on Your Device
The App requests access to the following resources strictly for the purpose of providing its features. None of this data leaves your device.
- Photo Library. The App uses Apple’s standard photo picker to let you select photos for editing. Selected photos are processed in memory and saved back to your library only when you explicitly tap Export.
- Music Library. If you use the Photo to Reel tool, the App reads tracks you select to use as a soundtrack. Music is analysed locally; no audio is transmitted off-device.
- File timestamps and available disk space. Used solely to display storage usage in the App’s interface.
3. In-App Purchases
SocialGrid Studio offers a Yearly subscription and a one-time Lifetime purchase. All payments are processed by Apple via the App Store. We never see your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID. The App receives only the entitlement status (active / expired) from Apple’s StoreKit framework, which is stored on your device.
4. Trial Period
To run the 7-day free trial, the App stores the date of your first launch in iOS UserDefaults on your device. This date never leaves your device. Uninstalling the App resets this value.
5. Third-Party Services
The App’s editing features use Apple’s built-in frameworks (PhotoKit, MediaPlayer, StoreKit, SwiftUI). In addition, the App uses the following third-party services, which collect a limited amount of data as described:
- Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) — crash & performance monitoring. When the App crashes or hits a performance issue, Sentry collects diagnostic information such as crash logs, device model, operating-system version, and app version so we can fix bugs. This data is not linked to your identity and is processed on servers in the European Union. Privacy policy: sentry.io/privacy.
- Meta / Facebook SDK (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — advertising measurement. We run ad campaigns for the App, and this SDK helps us measure how they perform (for example, whether an install or purchase followed one of our ads). It may collect a device-level identifier and app events such as launches and purchases. Where supported, measurement uses Apple’s privacy-preserving SKAdNetwork. The App does not access your IDFA or track you across other companies’ apps or websites without your permission. Privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We do not sell your data.
6. Children’s Privacy
SocialGrid Studio is not directed at children under 13. The limited technical data collected by the services in Section 5 is not used to identify individual users and is not knowingly collected from children.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
For the limited technical data described in Section 5, the developer named above is the data controller, and Sentry and Meta act as processors. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the App stable and in measuring the performance of our own advertising. Because the App has no user accounts, we cannot identify you from this data and hold no personal profile we could look up by name or email.
You can stop all collection by the services in Section 5 at any time by uninstalling the App. You can also limit ad-related data at the iOS level under Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking and Settings › Privacy & Security › Apple Advertising. Any on-device data created by the App (including the trial timestamp and your saved projects) is removed when you uninstall the App.
You may contact us at any time at simply.on.photography@gmail.com with questions about this policy. EU residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their national data protection authority — in the Czech Republic this is the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.cz).
8. International Data Transfers
The diagnostic data handled by Sentry is processed on servers in the European Union. The advertising-measurement data handled by Meta may be processed in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in the respective providers’ privacy policies (see Section 5).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
